Some listings are more international than others and some listings focus on positions in industry. Mostly academic positions: Science Careers is a searchable and browsable database of positions advertised in the past 4 issues of Science magazine. The site provides a free email alert service and lists career fairs. Jobs are mostly in the US, but also an international selection Sciencejobs.com provides a sophisticated search interface for positions listed in Cell, BioMedNet and New Scientist within the past 60 days. The site features a free email alert service. Jobs are in the US and international. Naturejobs is a searchable index of positions advertised in what appears to be the current issue of Nature. Jobs are primarily in the UK and an international selection. FASEB Career Resources has limited job listings in the biosciences. Users need to fill out a cumbersome registraton form for free access to the site. Research and Training Opportunities at the National Institutes of Health lists positions and training programs currently available at the NIH; the site allows immediate online application. The NIH site links to other job sites in the US Department of Health and Human Services. Hum-Molgen: Positions in Bioscience and Medicine is a searchable index of academic, biomedical and clinical positions, with an international emphasis. The Chronicle of Higher Education: Career Network has listings of general university positions and a limited number of faculty positions in biological sciences in the US. The site provides an email notification service. EduCareer.com provides a searchable list of positions in US universities and research institutions in every topic area. The site includes a section on resumes and a Job Agent can email new listings. Bio Online is a life sciences site that provides corporate profiles and job postings, mostly in biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Biospace Career Center lists positions available at biotech and pharmaceutical companies (mostly located in the US). BioView provides a job search database, resume posting service and company profiles for the biopharmeceutical industry. Monster Jobs at Monster.com is a huge searchable jobs database with a category for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Users can create automated search agents that email relevent job openings. |
