Online Publications This section presents journals with cell and molecular biology information, along with some other useful publications resources. The majority of biology research journals are now available online. Full text access is usually limited to personal and institutional subscribers. However, you can do searches and check out abstracts for free. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Journals Page is a comprehensive alphabetical list maintained by Jim Beasley. An excellent resource! Biological Science Journals is gopher index of the tables of contents from just about every biology paper journal prior to 1994. This can be useful for finding specific references for old papers. BioMedNet Library contains over 50 full text journals, including the Current Opinion Series. Free registration and access to abstracts; full text for a small fee. Ecola Newsstand is a comprehensive collection of links for online newspapers and magazines. HighWire Press (Stanford University Libraries) co-publishes a large number of biology research journals, including JBC, Cell and EMBO Journal, and has a nice site itemizing the journals. Library of Congress has an interesting and diverse colllection of publications resources, including library catalogs, legislative information and link collections. |
